Which reminded me of the Tour de France and other competitive cycling, and why recumbent cycles aren't allowed. Nothing to do with women, in this case, but still to do with snobbery and the status quo. Recumbents are more efficient, which allowed a "lesser" cyclist to beat the speed record - this was back in the 30s.
