Author Checking in from the Great Dismal Swamp

My name is David Niall Wilson. I'm currently living in a huge historic home in Hertford, NC, butted up against the side of The Great Dismal Swamp. I've been writing dark fantasy, science fiction, and fantasy for a little over twenty years. I have seventeen novels and over 200 stories published, some collections, and a few awards. I was president of the Horror Writer's Association, and I'm an IT Director by day.

Since a few of my friends and associates reported on how exciting the digital publishing world was becoming, I decided to figure it out for myself. With that in mind, I created Macabre Ink Digital Publishing - where I've now gotten many of my out of print titles back into circulation, as well as those of a few other authors. I've also published two novels direct to digital, with gratifying results.

I love finding a community like this where the attitude is positive, and there is a real enthusiasm for books and reading. Sometimes, as an author, you work in a kind of void - the Internet has opened that up a lot, and communities like this help one remember that there's a big world full of readers and book lovers out there.

So...my agent and I continue the quest for fame and fortune, and as a part of that, I intend to do what I can to spread my stories to the Kindle and e-book reading worlds...

I'm happy to be here, would be glad to provide a few review copies of digital books I've published, and am eager to jump in on the discussions and see what people have to say.
