Sorry just saw this, I'm not sure if we have an equivalent there's liable which covers publishing false statements about someone but as far as I know distortion especially for satire would probably be fair use as is criticism.
No anything out of copyright can be distorted folded mutilated or spindled. It's completely free (libre).
