You do this by opening up the book template and not a new document.

To open the template you need to navigate to the directory wher the Bookcreator.dot file is located. The right click on the file. You should see a list of options on how to open the file. Select the "Open" menu option.

Configure the page layout as you like save the document and CLOSE it out-- any changes made in the template file will apply to all documents you open with the template so make sure you save and close.


Now go and open a new document and your new settings should show up.
