I have played a few MP3's on my 600. Seems like a copied the files to an SDHC card and the reader just found them when I put the card in, and they played fine. You might verify that the file extension is ".mp3". It might be finicky if you use caps, then again you might try all caps. Seems like a had a problem with that (.mp3 vs. .MP3, but not .Mp3 or mP3.).
