I once saw a massive lightning storm in the middle of a massive snowstorm right here in Tidewater as I was driving at night. The lightning was so frequent it was as if the gods were having a disco party, with each strike freezing the falling snowflakes in place like a giant strobe. It was incredibly impressive, incredibly beautiful, incredibly distracting and surely dangerous to drive through. I loved every minute of it.
