I hope you don't mean me, Don, because I have NOT MADE ONE SINGLE PERSONAL ATTACK. A personal attack is an attack on someone's person (hence the name) that is unrelated to the arguments. Examples of a personal attack :
"you only say that because you are a fat pig"
"that's what I'd expect a Jew to say"
"you are a (British slang for cigarette)"
Examples of things that are NOT a personal attack
"your post sounds like a shill"
and, very relevant
"you claim that you very recently bought this item on ebay, but ebay has no records of any recent auctions selling this item, can you explain?"
And the reply that "I'll answer your question if you agree to fill out a full confession of your wrongness, sign it in triplicate, and mail a copy to the Library of Congress" is very telling.
Velcro_SP, if you post the item number, you'll prove me wrong. No need for formal groveling on my part. And sure as hell no reason to bring "real names" into it-- which is a total red herring, after all-- your real name isn't involved, my real name isn't involved. (Of course, the difference is, if you search around my posts, you WILL find my real name-- any chance I'll get yours?)
I strongly, strongly suspect the reason you demand the naming of names is because you don't think that I'll do it, therefore I won't meet your conditions for revealing the number.

PS-- I see by checking for other key terms, Ebay's archives of old auctions go back at least to September 2009-- so for your claim "even if the auction number doesn't show up on their archive" to hold water, your purchase would have to be before September at least-- and you are on the record saying that you recieved it "a few days ago" on January 25th, (which would mean a pretty darn long time to ship.)
