In Starlicy's second youtube video (
post here), she embeds fonts into an ePub document using a program called ePub Builder. Check at the 8 minute mark. Of course, it's time consuming just to add a better looking font to all your documents and it will make each document 10-20 times larger. A centralized font option would be much better, especially with an option to override the default font on a per-document basis.
