Device: Nook
noobe - resets - lots of pdfs

I just purchased my Nook and charged it up.
I had made some PDFs of some free .doc books (via windows word 2007) and some other pdfs that I had purchased previously.
I loaded quite a few (300+ 180Meg) into my documents.
I created a test directory as well (put nothing in it).

After removing the device from Windows 7 ,I tried to view it and it just kept reverting to the original screen. I reset the device (took the battery out, power up with the power attached, then disconnect and replace battery)

I then read that it cant read protected documents. I removed all the documents from the my documents directory.
I also noticed that some of the files had blank titles.
So I downloaded a utility to create titles. I took about 6 or so of the pdfs and loaded them to the nook.

I could see them - great. Then I downloaded a sample of a book, it got into the preface and frooze.
So I rebooted.

Does this happen alot?
Any problems/tips on pdfs?
