Stevenson, Burton E.: The Destroyer. v. 1.1, 23 Feb 2010

An event which attracted the attention of the entire world was the sudden blowing up of the French battleship La Liberté on Sept. 25, 1911. To this day it has never been explained. Mr. Stevenson proposed in this 1913 mystery novel that the ship was destroyed by a powerful wireless device that acted upon its store of explosives. The French head of police and a master criminal, working together, seek to discover who and what caused the explosion.
