True enough, but you still have to use Connect to know what that meta data is so you can rename the book. If I were to go that route, then I would need to remove all those books from Connect, then add them one at a time renaming them once they appear in Connect. Fairly tedious once you have more than a few books.
One of the things that iTunes does is store songs in a directory structure of artists/album. Very logical. You can change the way it saves songs, of course. That's just the default. Plus, you can change the meta data as you wish. None of this is very difficult to program, of course, which makes Connect all the more disappointing.
