Accoridng to this thread about the V7, on page 6 there is a link to what claims to be Android 2.0 firmware at http://en.smartdevices.com.cn/Suppor...001/14-55.html

Thinking of getting this device, as I'm quite tired of waiting for the Archos 7 Android to get a release date, and if the V7 really runs android 2.0 that would probably meet my needs (5" seems like a waste).

Has anyone tried the update? Can you offer any claims on whether the device is usable as a result?
