I'm a little late to the thread, but I have read the first 6 Kitty Norville books and have the 7th on my Kindle to be read. I enjoy them. They are def. a bit lighter than some of the other urban fantasy/paranormal stuff, but I enjoy them. I haven't ready Kim Harrison, so can't compare but I do find the Kitty Norville series enjoyable. I like Patricia Briggs also.
