Oops, I have been a.w.o.l when I should have remained vigilant.... so sorry.

Yes. My first Kindle1 had a small bar on the bottom left that you could attach a wrist lanyard to..... neck lanyard as well, I suppose. Worked for me - as I AM a belt and suspenders kind of gal. I miss that added feeling of safety.

To the Sony owner whose ereader broke while out of warranty.....
Ny Kindle was also out of warranty... that is why I needed to send the money along with my Kindle, in order to get the replacement.

I am so surprised that the lanyard bar was not standard on the Kindles. It just made so much sense.
