In addition to the ability to upload and sell books in English, French and German languages, authors and publishers now have more options when offering their books to Kindle customers

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) today announced that authors and publishers around the world can now use the self-service Kindle Digital Text Platform (DTP) (http://dtp.amazon.com) to upload and make available their books in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian to customers worldwide in the Kindle Store (www.amazon.com/kindlestore). Authors and publishers already have the ability to upload and make available their books in English, French and German, and now they will have even more options when offering their books to Kindle customers.

"A month ago we made the self-service Kindle Digital Text Platform available to authors and publishers around the world," said Russ Grandinetti, Vice President, Kindle Content. "We're now excited to offer even more languages in which content owners can offer their books to the fast-growing audience of Kindle owners around the globe."

Additional language options with DTP will be added in the future. To learn more about the Kindle Digital Text Platform, visit http://dtp.amazon.com.
