That's the one exception though. Prices on the various iPod lines, their macbooks and desktops etc. have been pretty stable over the years.
And I'd expect the iPad to follow those devices price trends more so than the iPhone. They had more competition in smartphones with Blackberry etc. and needed to get prices down.
I doubt any tablets that come out to compete against it will be any cheaper--at least not any with anywhere near the same functionality.
