Does the 5 button work at any time else?
eg While viewing an EPUB type. 5 is used to change Zoom levels.
hWile in the file listing. 5 Switches to <=> from SD card

Check your SD card for disk errors(since you seem to have a card reader), then
Download v5setup.bin AGAIN and re-flash. you may have had corruption.
