The powdered version (if it's the same one I'm thinking of) is fine. Just a pinch. It'll add a bit of heat to the drink.
Squeeze a couple of lemons, add a good teaspoon or two of honey, two aspirin, a pinch of ginger and top up with boiling water. Tastes good, too.
