sophisticated programs that still have to make scientific short-hands written into them about atmospheric processes and interaction with water and land. one of the things I remember from school physics and mathematics was that an end calculation can only be as good and precise as its input.
much of the data input into climate models can only be coarse, and yet the output is increasingly fine.

I do, though, think that we as a species are contributing to climate change.
