*sigh* Late last year, I applied for a week of leave, just for relaxation purposes (and packing to move). As soon as I went on leave, my father had emergency heart surgery.
Did I learn my lesson? Hell no.
Last week, I asked work for a couple days' relaxation leave (to recover from moving). Annnnd... son in hospital 1.5 hours away, with appendicitus and possible complications (NOT anything too major, no stressing required).
So, off I go on my R&R/hospital visits...
