The same thing happened with us. There I was on the operating table with my arms strapped out like Jesus on the cross and with everything God gave me on display for the masses and my husband kept asking my OB questions and saying, "this is fascinating. . .this is fascinating!"
If they hadn't strapped down my arms, he would have come out of the OR with a black eye!
At one point he asked, "What's that? and my doctor replied, "the fat layer." I shouted, "Leave it out, don't put that back in there!!" Considering I had gained almost 50 pounds during my first pregnancy, I thought it was a valid request. Unfortunately, she told me I had to leave with what I came in with, with the exception of the baby stuff.
