Some MR members will know that I launched an experiment a couple of years ago, offering free download of six of my novels, requesting payment only from satisfied readers. The experiment ended on Sunday, and I have just posted

I go on to speculate about authorship in the Information Age. The whole thing is much too long to quote here, but the gloomy conclusion is that
