In normal use I don't notice any speed difference between the two. When run side by side, the 5" is faster opening ebooks and perhaps 25% faster turning pages.
An advantage of the 6" EZ Reader is, that as an older device with a large user base, it has more software options. In addition to OpenInkPot (has its own forum) there is for example
