For me, the Pocket PC reached that same stage some years ago. Time was, every time Compaq (later HP) released a new iPaq I'd automatically buy it. Now, though, I've not bought one in several years - mine (HP iPaq 4700) does just what I want and the new models don't add anything that makes me want to upgrade.
