Why ruin a perfectly good discussion with facts?
For what it is worth, I don't know that I'd sign up for Prime just to get a Kindle, even if it was just to gift it to someone. At this point, I think it makes more sense to wait and see where all the pricing ends up in a few months - Amazon may not be lower anymore at that point. So it might make more sense then to get a different, less restrictive, reader even if it is more $$.
I do have to add though that we dont buy enough from Amazon to make the Prime membership of any value to us except for as a means to get a kindle.
