So...my family apparently picked up on the ginormous hints I was dropped and bought me a PRS-600 for my birthday. Yay me! I've only had a short period to play with it so far, but I am definitely enjoying it.
Some thoughts:
- Like others have said, the glare's a non-issue.
- I'll need to experiment some more, but I think landscape mode is better for reading PDFs than reflowing, at least on the ones I've tried so far.
- Related to the last item: I'm going to have to learn more about the conversion settings in Calibre. I tried converting a few PDFs to EPUB, with mixed results. But I didn't really get into the settings too much. Experimentation time!
- The Sony software doesn't seem to be too bad, but I haven't done any extensive use of it yet. My sister gave me a $50 gift card for the Sony Bookstore, though, so I'm gonna pick out a few books from there (and will likely use Kobo for other purchases, though I'll constantly be comparing prices -- yay Inkmesh!).
