I agree that it's always a good idea to wait until a feature exists before you buy. That's a good policy no matter what company it is we're talking about.

To be fair, I don't think they ever promised that zoom would be available. They did, however, initially say that annotation would be. Personally, annotation isn't a big deal to me, but it is disappointing that they originally said it would be added and are now saying that they haven't decided yet. That's not a good way of making your customers happy.
However, as a customer, you should never rely on promises. They do tend to set expectations though.
