Yep, that's exactly what I did, too.
Everything, i.e., the screensaver hack and the font hack, were working perfectly with the last update. The font hack is working with this one, but I can't, for the life of me, get the SS hack working.
I've uninstalled, reinstalled, each in different orders. I can't uninstall the new update, but I tried, nonetheless, to do another manual install. That did nothing -I couldn't update- but I thought I'd at least try

I've just finished a factory reset thinking I'd reinstall everything including the update, and the two hacks. Unfortunately (well, usually I s'pose it'd be a good thing), the update remains 2.3.3 and the font hack remains installed.
I'm currently waiting for all my folders that I'd backed up to reinstall.
One thing I noticed that I'd never noticed before, but perhaps I just wasn't looking, is that when I hit Menu>Settings, the Update Kindle flashes black for a split second before graying out.
