ADE doesn't remove the DRM. For this reason, the copy/paste trick works only if all the devices and reader installations involved are registered with the same ADE account. If they are not, then you are out of luck. Note that there is a limit to the number of computers & readers that can be associated with an ADE account (6, I think).

This ADE (and Amazon and B&N and Mobipocket) DRM nonsense has led me only to purchase books that I can liberate from their DRM prison. Thank goodness for publishers like Baen, who supply DRM-free books from the get-go.
