The vast majority of book sellers lace their products with DRM (Digital Rights Management) protections. This keeps you from making copies of the book and putting it on any device you want. So IF the book has Adobe DRM then you will have the have any other device you want to put it on authorized by Adobe.... By liberate the poster was referring to the process of removing the DRM, a subject not tolerated on the forum because of legal issues.

If the books do not have DRM (highly unlikely) then you can use them anyway you want, just like you own them.
