Hi Eldubb,

I'm in the same boat as you, I want a basic novel reader (my first eReader) and I'm having a hell of a time trying to decide which one best suits my needs. At the moment I think I'm going with the Astak Pocket PRO 5"(ordering from the US is much cheaper). However, I haven't actually seen it in person, hoping to do that this week to make sure I can live with a 5" screen.

If you're interested in the iRiver Story, you might wanted to check out MiniDisc.com.au because they have it for $330 plus shipping of about $12. I just noticed, however, it's a preorder, so not sure when they are releasing them.

I've heard good and bad things about the Story, though, so I'm holding out a bit longer to hear more hands on customer reviews about it.

Good luck!
