Sorry. My situation is the same, in over 40 years, I've never had to go to HR about a co-worker until the situation I found myself in. I tried talking with upper management and as a last resort went to HR and they still put the bozo in as manager of myself and another person - this happened a few weeks ago. I still met with bosses and HR and even the person, but I just don't see it working out.....

As they say, you are there, the person is gone. It will be okay.
