Shel, it is good that the bad one has left.
If this did occur again with the new one then couldn't you speak to
their boss? Are there others that were effected by this person? If it did happen again and others are troubled too then maybe you could all support each other and collectively make a complaint higher up the chain?
I really hope the new one is very nice and values, respects and treats you well.
