Why do you say that? I have a PC and the iPad is a clear choice for me, but probably only because I have a lot of experience with iPods and now about 6 months with my iPhone. All very positive experience.
Actually I loved iTunes right from the start, but especially in the last few years once I really understood all that one can do with it. Now; all my hundreds of audiobooks, hundreds of music albums, movies and of course Apps are all in one place.
I was really disappointed to hear that iBooks won't be a pre-loaded APP. I was imagining all my ebooks (from many sources) and all my photos, all neatly in one place ie. iTunes.

I would guess that most homes that have laptops, have WiFi these days, but even if some don't, the add on of iPad with spur them on. Don't you think? I don't know how I ever survived without WiFi before!
