If you count the Kindle, and believe the various market share guesses that it holds, the vast majority of devices actually in use don't even support ePub, ADE or otherwise. The point being, that while there are several devices that rely on ADE for their ePub DRM, we don't know how prevalent it is from a usage standpoint overall. Does the Kindle DRM just dwarf it in terms of books sold? Will Apple's ePub DRM choice become the number 2? Or just splinter ePub even more?
I would be curious to know what percentage of the eBook book market sales are in ADE ePub now, and what that will look like a year from now.
