Might be a bit faster this time.
When the iPhone came out, there was really no other OS with an UI that came even close.
But 2010 is different. Android 2.1 is here, and while I don't think it's as good as the iPhone UI, it is at least in the running, and it is developing fast. There are a lot of Android products coming to market this year.
If Android can polish their UI fast, they'll be able to have an even fight with the iPad (and the iPhone), qnd will have at least one significant advantage, Flash capability.
If someone adds a good stylus input to the finger-touch, it will make Android very appealing.
I doubt the prices will be lower for the Androids, but if the UI and features are there, this just might be The Year of the Android in mobile computing.
