How dare you! The language is called English after all and I would opine that it is you damned colonials that use the weird words: sneakers, pah! Sidewalk? That's a pavement actually. Trunk (for the thing on the back of a car)? I think you'll find that that's a boot. You even misspell a lot of the words that you do use correctly, it's colour and aluminium for example.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm just off to wax my moustache and compose a stinging letter to the editor of the Daily Telegraph on this very subject!
