In a way, the stock PEz case protects well, even if the edges appear exposed.
Only if you managed to drop it edge-on to a thin, hard object, would the edges be at risk of serious damage. That is because the PEz is recessed from the edge
I don't count chohlate sauce fingerprints and light scratches.
