Ah, yes, the Asus. I've got that one on my list for my husband - I vet them, and someday he'll get around to looking at my list and will choose one. I'm rather hoping he'll get the Asus tablet so he can have both a keyboard and a touchscreen. I've been there and decided to go straight tablet this time.
We have yet to see if I'll read on it beyond web browsing - I have a Sony 505 with a light wedge, and I can't imagine a much better experience (battery life, etc.) than that. It would annoy me to have to plug in.
