I have a new cat!

I ended up getting one of the Savannah cats I was looking at. I got him late last week but have been quiet about it to make sure he settled in and we were bonding. even though I wanted a kitten I fell in love with a 6 month old whose original "mama" was having a crisis and couldn't take him. he came with the name "Rafiki" which means "friend" in Swahili, cool, but just not right for him. I think he may be "Strider". we've been working on that and it seems as though he likes it, he is already responding to it.

my camera is giving me hell, and I can only send images from my phone when I am away from home. so here are some other Savannah's to give you an idea;

the black is very similar to mine, the profile of the spotted cat gives a good idea of what they look like (black cats are just so hard to photograph!) and the big guy is honest to goodness his grandpa!!!

his breeder took a video of him playing with her dog the morning he left. she tried to send it to me, but said it was too big. I suggested she put it on youtube. she'll ask her son for help later.

anyway, meet Strider! (sort of)
