The homemade spaghetti was initially a bit of a mess, but rather than try save it I just thought, bugger it, and chucked it in the bin and remade. It's quick, and it was just 2 eggs and some flour. Second lot, much better sorted with the help of a broom handle. Tasted nice and the texture was much better than the usual store-bought. I'm getting better at it, which is good.

Cheers,

I'd been wondering about doing spaghetti sauce in the crockpot, but my recipe isn't nearly as complicated as yours, it sounds like. And umm....broom handle for pasta? I'm assuming to lift the skinny strands after you've cut them? It's just that I got this mental picture of you and wet spaghetti dough all over the kitchen....

OK, for DGma, a report on the ASUS T91MT. I've named it, (with input from Chris) Little Bit. I fully expect to get lynched by the "e-ink or nothing" contingent, but I am loving every second of reading on this. When I've got it folded down to a tablet, and portrait oriented, I get a longer (and wider) page of text than was previously possible on any other device I've tried, which was exactly the result I was looking for. I can hold it in tablet form, or unfold it a bit and put it on Chris's pillow and read without having to hold it, and just use one finger to flip pages. I haven't found a downside yet; other than Chris has to shut it off if I go to sleep and leave it on his pillow . Fortunately, he seems to find this endearing rather than annoying.
