I had one of the Asus 701's two years ago when it first came out. (early adopter) You can also dump the Linux and put XP on them and they run great. I was amazed how much faster it was with a clean and light XP install... anyway, yes the screen was great but FOR ME the form factor just didn't work for reading. If they would fold all the way around it would have been better for me....

In general, any of the netbooks that have an LED backlit screen are going to be pretty good. But the old school LCD ones, not so much....
