If you can't buy a popular product then a BLACK market flourishes. Prohibition on alcohol in the USA 80 years ago proved that. Prohibition on drugs continues to prove it.

These geographic and format restrictions are not government gone awry. This is sheer stupidity.

Just like with Prohibition era bootleggers, the black market for eBooks is readily available yet often poorer quality.

Even though today alcohol is taxed heavily depending on locale, few make their own to save money. Why?

This time no Constitutional Amendment is needed. Just sell a quality product, everywhere, in every format the customer wants, when the customer wants it, and at a price attractive enough to avoid much home brewing.
