That's correct. Sony so far did move about 40% of my books from .lrx to .epub.
But I'm a bit nostalgic here. And some of the books I've bought in various formats, so I already have the .epub version.
But you're right of course. If they port all the books to .epub, I don't loose the content and it's another step to the standard.
