I guess I just go with the microfiber, and if necessary, dampen it a little.
By the way, I won't use the microfiber that I just used to clean dishes or wiped of stuff from my car. But once the microfiber is washed, my wife puts them back into the kitchen ;-) After washing, they look and feel like new. I've used them before on my glasses and I can still see through.
