Just a short info that I installed PRS+ now, without doing a backup
of the german 1.4 firmware before. There was half an hour during
downgrading the firmware, that I thought I bricked my reader,
but now everything works fine. So far I did not recognize
any change to the worse in PDF handling.
So even if would have prefered to have a backup of the
original firmware, it seemingly wasn't necessary, at least
not for the reasons I was afraid of.
