There is also an associated Ebookstore with prices in local currency.
The reader can be pre-ordered now. Rs. 9999 ~ 220 USD (at current exchange rate).
This announcement is important for at least the following reasons:
- Billing is in INR
- 1 year local indian warranty
- No International shipping/customs hassles
- No USD exchange rate concerns
- Support for Indian scripts
- Associated ebookstore to be launched
Until this, ebook readers have been available mainly through the grey market(no support) or through international purchases(expensive).
