Do a search for all titles by Author. You have differing sort Author fields for some of these titles. You can set them all at the same time by drag-selecting all books by the author, typing 'E' to invoke the metadata bulk editor, then setting Author sort for all of them at the same time.

The parse errors are because you have some illegal xml, most likely in your description metadata. It's non-fatal; calibre will recover. It could also be in the author name(s).

I will check.
Some Authors are standalone, then paired with different combinations of authors for different titles. I will check a few by hand since I do have the complete Log here
