Treven,
I certainly understand your reservation with short stories and fully admit that they are not for everyone. Truth is, Rogue Hunter Gaia is my way of allowing readers to sample my writing beyond the typical sample that one would get from an ebook store. Many readers are reluctant to purchase books by authors they are unfamiliar with. My goal with Rogue Hunter Gaia is to give readers a taste of my writing style by telling a complete story with a clear beginning, middle, and end (which has been vetted by a number of beta-readers and a professional editor)--and at no expense other than a minimal investment of a reader's time. Each installment of Rogue Hunter Gaia includes excerpts from my novels, further enabling readers to sample even more of my writing. If they feel that my material interests them, then they can make the decision to try one of my longer works.
Like the pilot episode of a new t.v. show, Rogue Hunter Gaia is the introductory tale to what is going to be a much longer and fully fleshed out series. If you are still interested in seeing where the story goes from here, I invite you to check out the next book. But if not, then I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my story with you.
