There is definitely mp3 player software on the PB 360. It can be brought up either by selecting a theme that includes the Music Player (i.e. a 301 theme) or by selecting an MP3 from the file browser. I am curious as to whether it is possible to send the output to a pair of head phones connected via an adapter attached to the USB port,
